Meet The Team
Barbara is a registered nutritionist and as such, has been practising since 2012 when she received a first-class degree, with honours in Human Nutrition, thereafter achieving an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, one of the most globally respected universities specialising in public health. Barbara’s specialist interests lay in obesity/overweight prevention, in particular in respect of children and families facing the challenges associated with living in low income areas. She previously held the post of Diet and Nutrition Lead for a nationally funded research and development programme addressing different aspects of preventing obesity and overweight in families with young children, and has conducted research, in partnership with Kings College London and Sheffield University, into food insecurity in the context of Covid-19 co-authoring publications in this regard. Barbara is an experienced nutritional counsellor, working not only with clients in a gym setting, but also, more recently, on Zoom, working with clients all over the world. She is trained in motivational interviewing to facilitate behaviour change, in early years and infant nutrition and, has undertaken training as a personal fitness instructor, although nutrition consultation has now become the focus of her work. In addition to conducting client consultations, Barbara is an experienced qualitative researcher and group-work facilitator, both online and in person.
Alison is warm, caring, empathic and non judgemental counsellor. She has years of experience working with people who are experiencing emotional distress,anxiety,depression,loss, identity issues, family and relationship problems. Alison can help people to recover from trauma or addiction. Alison specialises in working with neurodiverse people including ASD, ADHD and dyspraxia.
Dr Luqman is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 10+ years’ experience of developing innovative General Psychiatry and Addiction services to a diverse client group with high levels of morbidity for alcohol, drugs, and mental health problems in the UK. Qualifying as a medical doctor (MBChB 1991) from the University of Manchester, and originally trained as a surgeon (FRCS Edinburgh 1998) he decided to specialise in General Psychiatry and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych Edinburgh) in 2003. With a special interest in Adult ADHD, Luqman is part of the United Kingdom Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN) and received Certification of Completion of Specialist Training in General and Forensic Psychiatry with Endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry in 2010 and keeps his academic ties to the University of Glasgow and actively mentors and teaches students and specialist trainees.
Kevin is an Integrative therapist, with more than 30 years experience, Kevin brings a depth of work and knowledge to both individual and couple therapy. Kevin trained as a Social Worker, Clinical Psychologist, then as a Couples Therapist with Relate. He has also completed certified EMDR training. This is an effective approach to dealing with trauma, anxiety and other adverse life experiences. Kevin's integrative approach combines Person-Centred, with a Systemic understanding of problems, but taking a pragmatic solution focused approach with CBT/Schema therapy. A psychodynamic approach is used for those seeking long term psychotherapy. Kevin has a range of specialist experiences: Addictions, trauma therapy and couples therapy. From 2008 - 2018, Kevin was Head of School in Counselling and Psychology Newham College University Centre, London.
Charlotte is a Registered Sports Nutritionist and Personal Trainer specialising in plant based diets and women's health. She values the importance of providing personalised evidence based advice that is both practical and sustainable. She holds a Master degree in Sports Nutrition, with her dissertation focused on the associations between diet, body composition and sports performance. The positive impact of support networks and use of online tools to keep participants motivated was central to the project. Charlotte prides herself on being friendly and approachable; she goes out of her way to motivate and support clients to achieve their goals. She offers both nutrition advice and personal training for those looking to improve their body composition, performance or general wellbeing.
Dr Susan is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with direct clinical experience working with a range of psychological difficulties. She is a Member of the Health & Care Professions Council and has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. As well as seeing patients with complex child mental health and trauma difficulties. Susan is very experienced in specialist assessment and formulation of presenting neurodevelopmental and complex behavioural difficulties in Children and Young People; Particularly for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities. Susan is described by her peers as a thorough and conscientious clinical psychologist with a warm and approachable nature that will go out of her way to ensure high quality care.
As a psychological practitioner, Piotr combines over ten years of his teaching experience with Transactional Analysis and the science brought by Positive Psychology. Being a fluent speaker of English, Polish, French and Spanish, he offers intercultural psychotherapy and coaching to a range of international clients. His training in Transactional Analysis Counselling and in Leadership and Executive Coaching allows him understand his clients on a deeper level. Piotr believes that therapeutic counselling is mainly about reducing distress while coaching is mainly about increasing potential. With his expertise in both fields, Piotr will work with you to assess your needs and agree on the best approach that is tailored to you.
Sasha has specialist training to support autistic young people who experience co-morbid mental health difficulties such as anxiety and low mood. Sasha adopts a non-judgemental, caring and holistic approach whilst supporting young people and their families.
Natascha can provide a safe and confidential space for you, where you can explore whatever concerns you, with you as the focus in your work together in counselling.
